Akbank Jazz Festival: Authentic Anatolian Project at Akbank Jazz Festival at Is Sanat Istanbul Hall

Authentic Anatolian Project is a hybrid music project, nourished by Turkish folk songs. The child of this project was Sakın Ağlama, an album recorded at MDM Studios of Ulus Müzik, later mixed in the States, by the legendary drummer Dave Weckl (The drums of the epynomous track of the album was played by this master of fusion jazz). The mastering was done by George Whittey, a pianist and composer, who is the holder of the 2014 Emmy “composer of the year” award and several Grammy Awards.
